One man was killed and another critically injured early this morning after their vehicle rolled on Old Pretoria Road in Kempton Park.

Paramedics from the ER24 Johannesburg Central branch arrived on the scene and found the light motor vehicle lying on its side some distance away from the road. The body of one man was found lying next to the vehicle while another lay some distance away on the other side of an electric fence.

Paramedics assessed the first man and found that he had sustained numerous, fatal injuries. Unfortunately, nothing could be done for the man and he was declared dead on the scene.

The second man was assessed and found to have sustained numerous injuries, leaving him in a critical condition.

Paramedics immediately treated the man and provided him with numerous advanced life support interventions. Once treated, the man was transported to Thembisa Hospital for further treatment.

It is understood that the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll multiple time and ejecting both men.

Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
