“Ons het hande gevat met ’n maatskappy, wat ’n Vriend van Landbou is, wat veldskoene met verskillende kleure vervaardig om die Vriende-handelsmerk op die skoene aan te bring en beskikbaar te stel,” sê Gerhard Kriel, Hoof Uitvoerende Beampte van VL. “Ons vra dat mense dit ondersteun en wys hulle is Vriende van Landbou. ’n Gedeelte van die opbrengs gaan aan Vriende van Landbou.”

Veldskoen is eeue lank al ’n ikoniese skoen van Suid-Afrikaanse landbouers wat bekend staan vir uitsonderlike gemak en duursaamheid. Elke paar word met die hand in Suid-Afrika van uitgesoekte Afrika-rooihuidleer vervaardig.

Get your pair of Friends veldskoene and support farmers

Do you realize where your food comes from and who makes it possible every day? A farmer worked hard to produce it.

Are you grateful to these farmers and do you want to support them? You can now do this by not only donating money, resources or expertise to Friends of Agriculture, an initiative by Free State Agriculture (FSA). You can also boast a special pair of Veldskoene with the Friends brand on it. Your friends will immediately see you are a Friend of Agriculture when you wear your striking veldskoene.

“We have partnered with a company, who is a Friend of Agriculture, who manufactures various colours veldskoene to make shoes with the Friends brand on it,” said Gerhard Kriel, Chief Executive Officer of FSA. “We ask people to support this initiative and show that they are Friends of Agriculture. A portion of the proceeds goes to Friends of Agriculture.”

For centuries, Veldskoen has been an iconic shoe of South African farmers, renowned for exceptional ease and durability. Each pair is handmade in South Africa from selected African rawhide leather.
